Two young men were stabbed yesterday, Monday, in Copenhagen: the sixth stabbing since Christmas.
Since Christmas, the capital Copenhagen has witnessed five stabbings, and yesterday, Monday, the sixth occurred. At about 9:30 pm, the police were called to HC Ørstedsvej and boulevard after two young men (aged 29 and 30) were stabbed a few hundred meters from Blågårds Plads. The perpetrator is still at large, and both young men were taken to the hospital and are out of danger.
The perpetrator is described as a tall man wearing dark clothing, who fled the crime scene via Worsaaesvej in the direction of Frederiksberg.
Police are currently unable to comment on whether the two are already known to them, and have not stated whether they believe any of the cases may be linked to a gang environment.
Regarding the previous stabbings, so far only one person has been arrested and imprisoned after the numerous stabbings, and according to the police, it is too early to conclude whether there is a link between the incidents that occurred mainly in Nørrebro and Nordvest.
However, according to information from the DR website, some of the stabbings may be due to the ongoing conflict between two groups of young people, one group belonging to Nordvest, while the other group may be linked to the area surrounding Indre Nørrebro and Blågårds Plads.
