A medical center, the only one in its area, declares bankruptcy, affecting thousands of people.
According to a press release from the Midtjylland Regional Administration, the Herning Bankruptcy Court has declared the Lægehuset Skjern Ølgod Medical Center (Clinic) bankrupt and closed with immediate effect.
According to the regional administration, Dit Lægehus Skjern is the only medical center in the city and has approximately 7,600 registered residents. The closure of the medical center has also affected its 28 employees.
Three medical clinics and 11,000 patients were affected by the bankruptcy.
According to the source, Niels Jacob Boarup Sondergaard (52 years old) owned and operated Dit Lægehus Skjern, another medical center called Dit Lægehus in Ølgod, and another center in Blåvand. All three centers have now been closed with immediate effect.
In total, the bankruptcy affects approximately 11,000 patients spread across the three medical centers, according to lawyer Morten Moltke Nygaard. Affected citizens will receive an email regarding this matter, according to TV MIDTVEST.
