A two-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a car on a residential road in Espergærde on Sunday, according to North Zealand police, who confirmed the news to the newspaper Ekstra Bladet on Monday morning.
Police reported that at 3:01 PM they received a report of a traffic accident and that a child had been run over, and at 3:21 PM the two-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased child's relatives have been informed, and out of consideration for the relatives' feelings and given the special circumstances of the incident, North Zealand Police do not wish to provide further information about the incident, according to Ritzau.
