According to Swedish and Danish media, Danish right-wing politician Rasmus Paludan and his party, Stram Kurs, applied to the Swedish police for permission to hold a new demonstration in Sweden, but the police rejected the request on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The party wanted to hold the event within a week in the Swedish city of Bor\u00e5s, located 60 kilometers east of Gothenburg (Yottburg), and the plan included lighters and the supposed burning of Qur\u2019ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The request was submitted a week after the party announced a series of demonstrations in Sweden that last week sparked violent riots that injured 26 police officers and 14 civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
