The Danish Ministry of Foreigners and Integration (Ministry of Immigration) published a statement regarding the decrease in the number of foreigners and refugees residing illegally, i.e., without legal residency. The statement read:
The number of rejected asylum seekers and foreign criminals in Denmark has fallen significantly compared to five years ago. At the end of 2025, the number of pending deportation cases was less than 1,000. This represents a 50% decrease in five years, demonstrating the success of the strict policy of returning migrants to their countries of origin.
Since 2020, the number of foreign criminals and rejected asylum seekers awaiting deportation from Denmark has more than halved. At the end of 2025, there were only 986 people awaiting deportation, compared to 2,185 at the end of 2020.

“لا مكان لطالبي اللجوء المرفوضين والأجانب المجرمين في الدنمارك. يجب إعادتهم إلى أوطانهم في أسرع وقت ممكن، ولذلك يُعدّ خبرًا سارًا أننا تمكّنا في غضون سنوات قليلة من خفض عدد الأجانب غير المقيمين بشكل قانوني والذين يجب ترحيلهم إلى خارج البلاد إلى النصف. لقد شدّدنا سياسة الترحيل عدة مرات لجعل حياتهم بائسة ومملة قدر الإمكان حتى يغادروا، كما هو مُلزمون بذلك. تُظهر الأرقام الجديدة بوضوح أن إجراءاتنا فعّالة.”
Of the 986 deportation cases pending at the end of 2025, 164 cases concerned foreigners residing in the Kærshovedgård center.
The significant decrease in the number of pending deportation cases is due, in part, to the immediate deportation of foreign criminals. This is attributed to the expansion of the immediate deportation program starting in June 2025.
ويوضح الوزير الأمر قائلاً: “لا ينبغي أن يتواجد الأجانب المجرمون في هذا البلد، ولا ينبغي السماح لهم بتدمير وطننا الجميل. لذا، تعمل الحكومة على اقتراح جديد يسمح بترحيل المزيد من الأجانب المجرمين المدانين بالاغتصاب أو الاعتداء الجسيم. فقد آن الأوان لحماية الضحايا والسكان بدلاً من حماية الجناة.”
